I needed something that would hold the cord off the floor, and keep it where I can easily access this. I did this using electricians tape. I made the first length with a extra 2x the width of the tape knowing I would be taping it down. I then cut an additional length placing sticky sides of these 2 sections together, this length is shorter by the extra length placed in the original tape. This allows the cords to slide, and be removed quickly.
I placed this tape where I wanted it. In this case on the top of my catch all drawer for my tech dresser. Then I applied a length of tape to each side to increase the strength of each ends attachment.
The gap between the dresser and the tape is just large enough that the cord will not fall thru without my intentionally removing it, but it doesn't take more than a second to do the 2 cords for my phone, tab, and Media Player.
